The Nomad is a leather drawstring backpack. The hide is embossed with our monogram pattern before a single panel is cut, so the pattern lands differently on every bag.

Size & Fit
  • 18 in — 18 × 9 × 7 in
  • 20 in — 20 × 10 × 8 in
  • 22 in — 22 × 10 × 9 in
  • Holds a 13 to 15 in laptop depending on the size chosen, plus charger, bottle, jacket and a day of essentials
  • Free engraved monogram, initials chosen at checkout
The Leather

Full-grain hide, embossed before cutting. The grain shifts across the hide and the depth of the emboss shifts with it, so no two backpacks leave the workshop matching. That is not a flaw the workshop tolerates. It is the reason the hide is worth using at all.

Hardware & Construction

Antique brass, solid through, on the buckles, rivets and strap hardware. The main compartment closes by drawstring under a buckled flap rather than a zip, so the top gives a little when you overfill it. A front cargo pocket and twin side pockets take the things you reach for standing up.

Is This the Right Bag for You?

It is slower to open than a zip. If you need one-handed access at a ticket barrier, a drawstring backpack is the wrong choice — take the Atlas. If you carry a 16 in laptop, the Atlas is also the one to look at.

Care

Dry cloth for dust. Conditioner two or three times a year. Our leather care checklist has the rest.

Questions

Will my bag look like the photographs?
Close, but not identical. The embossed pattern falls differently on each hide, so expect variation in tone and depth.

Can I use this for travel as well as every day?
The 22 in suits travel and heavier days. The 20 in is the all-rounder. The 18 in is a compact daily carry.

Which laptop will it take?
A 13 to 15 in machine, depending on the size you choose. For a padded compartment and a 16 in laptop, take the Atlas.
